We are proud to be working in partnership with Glasgow Housing Association and Glasgow Life in creating a sporting reminiscence project which has been granted official XX Commonwealth Games Legacy 2014 status.

What's your favourite memory of sport in Glasgow and the Clyde Valley? The one moment that makes the hairs on your neck stand on end when you think back on it? Have you a memory from a previous Commonwealth Games?

Maybe it was meeting your idol and discovering that they were everything you hoped they would be. Perhaps it was a special moment that you can still see when you close your eyes. Maybe it was something more personal. Sometimes it's not about what you are watching, but who you are watching it with. Maybe the one you most remember is one you competed in yourself.

Think of all the bookmarks in the story of your life as a sports fan. Flick through them all, pick your favourite … then tell us all about it.

We are looking for people who like to talk about sport.

By volunteering to join one of our local Sports Reminiscence groups, you can improve the lives of older people by helping them talk about the sports and the players of their past. We'll train you to plan and lead these discussions. You'll make a big difference and have a lot of fun.

Using our memories of sport to improve the lives of older people.

Whether you know someone who could benefit from attending our groups or would like to volunteer, please take the time to find out more about this groundbreaking work and how to get involved.
